MapCar

Delete your data

MapCar has no accounts, so there is no account to delete. Everything the server holds about you hangs off one anonymous device id; send us that id and it is all gone within 30 days.

On the device: delete it yourself

Map cache, offline data, limits you corrected, usual routes, saved places, trip history, sent reports, dashcam photos and videos — all of it lives in the app's own folder on the device. Delete each in Settings or the relevant screen, or uninstall the app to wipe everything. Uninstalling also discards the device id: a reinstall is a brand-new device to the server.

On the server: what is tied to the device id

  • Community reports you sent (sign / incident type, coordinates, heading, time) and the per-day report count.
  • Unmapped road segments you shared — the raw copy with the device id (deleted after 30 days anyway, whether or not you ask).
  • Pro / Lifetime activation codes and Mika plans bound to the device, the device label, and the Mika usage log (plan id, task type, credits, time — never the question).

Nothing else: the server keeps no trips, no Mika questions, no per-device search history, no IP addresses with reports, and no name, email or phone number — the app never asks for them. Traffic samples expire after 10 minutes. Line by line, see the Privacy page.

Finding your device id

  1. Open MapCar → Settings.
  2. Scroll to Device id (a random string of letters and digits).
  3. Tap the id to copy it, then paste it into the form below.

Already uninstalled and no longer have the id? The server has no other way to find your device — that is the point of the anonymous design — so that data simply expires on schedule: raw reports after 12 months, road segments after 30 days. If you still have an activation code or a Google Play / App Store order id, enter it and we will look the plan up by that.

Request deletion of server-side data

After you send it

  • We delete within 30 days at most and reply to the email you left. That email is used only to answer this request; it is not stored in the app's systems.
  • Deleting an activation means the Pro / Mika plan leaves that device; you can still restore it with “Restore purchases” on Google Play / the App Store, because the purchase record sits with them, not with us.
  • Points the community has confirmed and published (a sign, a traffic light) are aggregated data with no device id, so they are outside the scope of deletion — and cannot be traced back to you.
  • Prefer not to use the form? Email your device id to support@z-cloud.com.vn — same effect.
